Woman arrested for allegedly drowning nine-month-old daughter in lake

A 34-year-old woman was arrested after she allegedly drowned her nine-month-old daughter in Bairamalguda Lake in LB Nagar police on Sunday evening. Plice said the suspect was allegedly under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident. According to investigators, morning walkers spotted the woman holding the infant in the lake at around 7 pm and alerted the police through Dial 100.
