Four detained for allegedly attempting to sell newborn baby in Hyderabad

The Balapur police detained four persons for allegedly attempting to illegally sell a newborn baby girl to a couple in Shaheennagar. According to the police, a woman delivered the baby at a government hospital in Malakpet earlier this week. Police said that a woman, identified as Waheeda, allegedly persuaded the infant’s parents to sell the child to a couple in Shaheennagar and negotiated a deal worth Rs. 5 lakh.
