Residents seek platform extension at Neredmet Railway Station for 24-coach express trains
The South Central Railway (SCR) authorities are urged to extend the platforms at Neredmet Railway Station, saying the upgrade would allow 24-coach express trains to stop at the station and improve connectivity for thousands of passengers in these areas.
In a representation submitted to railway officials, the residents said that existing platform length limits the station’s ability to handle long-distance trains. Extending the platforms would enable express services running between Charlapalli and Lingampalli to halt at Neredmet, providing easier access for commuters from nearby residential areas.
