Fake paneer racket busted, 300 kg seized at Keesara
The Malkajgiri Special Operations Team (SOT), along with food safety officials, busted an alleged adulterated paneer supply racket and seized nearly 300 kg of suspected fake paneer from two autorickshaws at Keesara on the city outskirts on Wednesday.
Police arrested two men who were allegedly transporting the consignment for distribution to hotels, restaurants and local vendors.
Officials suspect the paneer was prepared using substandard ingredients and could pose serious health risks if consumed. It was being transported from Yadadri-Bhongir district into the city.
